The Alpha Course

The Sunday Club meets 3 Sundays a month for children aged 4 and up where they enjoy a variety of arts and crafts, games and fun while learning about God.
A Creche is also available for children not old enough to join in with Sunday Club
The 55+ Club
The 55+ Club meets regularly for social evenings, outings and get togethers which have included visits to Russborough House, Farmleigh and Dublin Castle.

St Matthias Gahogo
We have strong links with the parish of St Matthias in Shyogwe Diocese in Rwanda including raising funds to help build a church, parish hall and parish house. Every year we run a Christmas card campaign to fund gifts of animals, school supplies and uniforms.

Annual Church Fete
Our fete is held every year in June. We have many stalls selling a variety of goods including clothing, games, plants, gifts and books. We also have a deli and cake stall and our tea rooms are open for lunch.
The fete is always a great day with lots of entertainment for the whole family.
Open to God
Our Open to God worship covers a variety of topics, for example our Lent course covered Gender Justice and we also ran the H+ Course during this time, which is an interpretive study of the Bible.

Ballybrack 47th Scouts
The Scouts are closely affiliated with St Matthias Church, they have their den in the grounds of the church and many are parish members.
The annual parade service is held at St Matthias every October.
St Matthias Social Club
Our church is one big family and there's nothing we enjoy more than getting together and sharing a beverage and some delicious food. We have had quiz nights, musical evenings, barbecues and dance nights and costume parties.

In 2012 St Matthias' held it's first Christmas Fair in December. Stallholders displayed a festive array of goods and there were games and prize draws. We held an art competition for children and our tea room was open serving warm and hearty lunches.
Engage is our group aimed towards youth work in the parish.

Women @ St Matthias
We organise regular social occasions for the ladies of St Matthias. Our most recent event was 'Me time at Tea Time' where a style consultant gave us fashion tips. We also have sharing suppers and coffee mornings.

The Book Club meets once a month for a good read and a chat.

St Matthias have an indoor bowls club which meets every Wednesday evening in the parish centre and is always looking for new members. We enter competitions and have a lot of fun, you do not need any experience so please come along and try your hand at bowls.

Whist drives take place in the Parish Centre on the third Thursday of every month. Anyone can join, there is a charge of €5 to cover the cost of refreshments and prizes.
