We begin Advent on the Last Sunday in November and hope to have a packed calendar. There is a service for everyone, whether you are looking for Holy Communion in the church or something on Zoom, at St Matthias' you will enjoy celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ and the joy of Christmas.
However, as for the second year running, we find ourselves still in a time of uncertainty caused by the recent increase in Covid 19 cases, the Advent and Christmas Programme below is provisional only.

Advent is a season of expectation and preparation, as the Church prepares to celebrate the coming (adventus) of Christ in his incarnation, and also looks ahead to his final advent as judge at the end of time.

We bring the tradition of Christingle to life in this service for the whole family. Children will learn about Christingle, it's meaning and heritage.
